It's been awhile since I've thought about this blog, but I am so excited to get back at it. Last summer's attempt at blogging my adventures with Ethan was a dismal failure for a variety of reasons not worth getting into. Focusing on the here and now, let's just say that I know for sure I will have plenty of time to write for this blog. Right now I'm 6 and a half months pregnant (but feel like I'm due any second), with my second baby, another little boy. I can promise that when Ethan's head hits the nap time pillow this summer, my feet will be up, and I will be resting, so I'm sure I can find some time to post a blog or two before my snooze.
Our new schedule for our 4th summer together starts Monday. Ethan will be in daycare twice a week in order for me to get my homework done for the class I'll be taking and prepare for the new baby. On the other days, it will be just me and him, him and me. I'm looking forward to it; I want to make the most of the one-on-one time I have left with Ethan before his new little brother arrives. I've been spending a lot of time thinking about what we're actually going to do all summer. Macaroni Kid and Kids Out and About are two great websites that have a ton of information about events going on in the area. Pinterest has also been a big help to me because it gives me so many different ideas of how we can stay busy. I have learned over the years that when I don't have a daily plan for the summer, I waste the days away and nothing gets done. Wait, that's not true. Some stuff gets done. Eating. And checking Facebook. I'm really good at that.
